Proud women entrepreneurs wanting to make an impact
Our soles keep us grounded, and so does our sisterhood.
We are Ahlam and Amira, sisters, family, friends and today business partners. We are also fashion lovers, shoe collectors and bag enthusiasts. Over the years, we have accumulated and worn many objects that might appear obsolete today. But we made it our mission to value our once loved accessories, by making them shine again.
Sole Sisters Project came to life as a result of some confusion we experienced when picking up our shoes from traditional cobbler’s shops. Their skills and their proficiency diverge a lot as per their experience, and we would not always find the suitable fit to our needs.
We created Sole Sisters Project as a guide to restore your leather accessories and an easy intermediate between you and the artisans.
Over the course of three years, we have created a network of cobblers that we collaborate with to repair different items with various techniques. We have learned about the craft and the proficiency of repairers in Lebanon, so we know exactly the cobbler needed for your restoration request.
Meet Amira
With a background in life sciences reinforcing her environmental awareness, and quality assurance experience supporting her eye for details, Amira has the right mindset for a circular fashion initiative. She is a self-starter and has a keen eye for art, fashion and style. Buying garments of quality is her motto when it comes to fashion consumption. She started out by helping family and friends find the right artisans to fix their items and decided to take it further by fighting the stigma associated with the cobblers’ role and making their service modern, trendy and accessible to everyone.
